Roger N. Mitchell
Roger Mitchell is president of Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, the largest natural gas distributor in Oklahoma. He previously served as president of Texas Gas Service Company, from 2003 to 2008.
Mitchell joined Oklahoma Natural Gas Company in 1978 and has held a number of positions in distribution operations and customer service, including vice president of the Eastern Region, district customer service manager and Ponca City area manager. He has also held ONEOK staff positions, including manager of communications and advertising and manager of corporate responsibility.
A graduate of Leadership Oklahoma and Leadership Tulsa, he serves on the board of directors of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, the State Chamber, United Way of Central Oklahoma, Allied Arts and YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City. Mitchell also serves on the Southern Gas Association and the Oklahoma and Texas Gas Associations.
A native of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in 1973 from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, where he also did postgraduate studies. He is also a graduate of the Executive Development Program of the University of Colorado in Boulder.
